1、 One-way fixation at both ends
This positioning method is that the inner ring of the bearing is fixed on the journal by the interference fit and is blocked by the shaft shoulder, and the outer ring of the bearing is blocked by the bearing end cover. Bearings at both ends prevent the shaft from moving in one direction. In order to prevent the bearing from being stuck due to the heat extension of the shaft, a gap of 0.2-0.3mm is left between the bearing end cover and the outer ring end face, or the inner clearance of the bearing is adjusted by a set of gaskets between the bearing end cover and the bearing seat. The positioning method is suitable for the short shaft with small transmission torque and low working temperature.
2、 One end is fixed in two directions and the other is floating
The inner and outer rings of one end bearing are fixed in two directions and bear two-way axial force. The bearing at the other end is not fixed axially, which allows the shaft to expand by heat to extend freely. Due to the different types of bearings, the structures of "two-way fixed" and "floating" are also different. Usually, the bearing with small radial force is fixed Bi directionally to bear the axial force and coordinate the service life of the two bearings; when there is no axial force on the shaft, the bearing with small radial force will move to make the travel convenient. This positioning method is often used for the shaft with a large span or high working temperature.
3、 Both ends support floating
When a pair of herringbone gears have meshed, the slight axial movement will occur due to manufacturing and installation errors. In order to prevent the gears from getting stuck, the two supports on the small herringbone gear shaft are often designed as a floating mode, and the two supports on the large herringbone gear shaft are fixed. When one end is required to be fixed, both sides of the Journal of the fixed end are made with shoulder or collar, or a combination of various bearings.
