When to replace the tapered roller bearing

Precision tapered roller bearing L467549 1

As the tapered roller bearing is not a long life product, its damage frequency is relatively high, so it should be replaced once after a certain period of time to avoid unnecessary losses. But under what circumstances should the taper roller bearing be replaced, and how can we judge whether the taper roller bearing is available? It is mainly determined by considering the degree of damage, mechanical performance, importance, operating conditions and the time until the next overhaul of the tapered roller bearing. If the following defects are found, the taper roller bearing can no longer be used and must be replaced with a new one.
1. Either the sleeve or the rolling element is broken.
2. There is obvious jamming on the raceway surface, the retaining edge and the rolling element.
3. The cage is severely worn or the rivet is severely loose.
4. There is rust and damage to the raceway surface and bearing.

5. Severe indentations and scratches on the raceway surface and rolling element.
6. The inner diameter surface of the inner ring or the outer diameter surface of the outer ring has obvious creep.
7. Heat discolouration is evident.
8. There is obvious damage to the tapered roller bearing, seal ring or greased dust cover.
