What loads can angular contact ball bearings withstand?

Leave a message

The angular contact ball bearing has a higher speed, it can withstand both radial load and axial load, and the size of the axial load depends on the contact angle, the larger the angular contact angle, the larger the load-carrying ability.

angular contact ball bearing

Single row angular contact ball bearings can only withstand axial load in a single direction. If there is an extra radial load, the additional axial force will be generated and the corresponding reverse load must be applied. Therefore, this kind of bearing is usually used in pairs. Double-row angular contact ball bearings can withstand large radial and axial bidirectional loads and moment loads. The bearing with a contact angle is 30 degrees, which can limit the bidirectional axial displacement of the shaft or housing.

When two sets of angular contact ball bearings are installed together, they can withstand radial and axial bidirectional loading, basically radial and axial loading, and can also withstand pure radial loading. The series connection structure can only bear axial load in a single direction, while the other two structures can bear load in any one direction. This type of bearing is generally selected by the manufacturer and submitted to the user in pairs. After installation, there is preload interference. The ring and steel ball is in the axial preload state, thereby improving the single support rigidity and rotation accuracy of the entire group of bearings.

Matched pair angular contact ball bearings are widely used for spindles of CNC lathe, CNC milling machine, machinery center, etc.
