Electrically insulated bearings refer to those bearings that can prevent the passage of electric current and the bearings themselves have insulating properties. It will called as insulated bearings, no matter the bearing with ceramic (alumina) coating on the inner ring or outer ring. The ceramic coating can prevent the passage of electric current and has the insulating ability. For the same model, it has the same size as the non-insulated bearing, making it completely interchangeable.

Characteristics of Hybrid ceramic bearings:
Hybrid ceramic bearings are composed of steel made rings and silicon nitride (Si3N4) made rolling elements. Because of the excellent electrical insulation properties of silicon nitride, hybrid ceramic bearings can achieve effectively insulation between the bearing seat and shaft. This unique ceramic material is an excellent choice for the applications requiring high speed, high stiffness, and electrical insulation.
For smaller-sized hybrid ceramic bearings, it is more cost-effective than ceramic coating insulated bearings.
