Crossed Bearing
The internal structure of the crossed bearing adopts the rollers to be perpendicularly arranged at 90° to each other (this is also the origin of the name of the crossed roller bearing), and there are spacers between the rollers to prevent the tilting of the rollers or the friction between them, which effectively prevents the increase of the rotating torque. In addition, there will be no contact or deadlock problem of the rollers. At the same time, because the inner and outer rings of the standard crossed bearing are divided, the gap can be adjusted, and even if preload is applied, high-precision rotational movement can be obtained.
Features:
1. Capable to withstand large axial and radial loads. Because the rollers are arranged perpendicular to each other on the V-groove raceway with a 90° interval spacer, this design allows the crossed roller bearing to withstand large radial loads, axial loads, and moment loads.
2. Operation and installation are simplified. For the standard type of crossed roller bearing, the outer ring or inner ring is divided into two parts. After the roller and the cage are installed, they are fixed together. During installation, the ideal load state can be achieved by fine adjustment of the connecting bolts and the fixing flange. So the operation is very simple during installation.
3. Significantly save installation space. The size of the inner and outer rings of the crossed roller bearing is minimized, especially the ultra-thin structure is a small size close to the limit, and has high rigidity. Thus it is most suitable for applications of the rotation joint part or rotating part of the industrial robot, and worktables of the CNC machining centers, manipulator rotating parts, precision rotating worktables, medical instruments, measuring instruments, IC manufacturing equipment, etc.
